Tour Details

While tea estates, rain forests or wetlands are the main attractions for the travelers visiting Srimangal, this fascinating region has much more to offer. Visiting dozens of indigenous villages dotting the hills and forests of Srimangal may be of great attraction for those who like some off beaten experiences.

This one day trip into the countryside around Srimangal offers nothing like the contrived handicraft villages that are a staple of Srimangal tours. Chhutiwala Eco Tours & Travels  only takes you to real rural indigenous villages where families supplement their regular income by making various handicrafts and our guests are pretty much the only visitors these villages get. While you are welcome to buy finished products direct from the families who make them, this is not designed as a shopping tour. The trip is mainly aimed at showing you the interesting processes behind indigenous textile making, and manufacturing clay pots while experiencing their way of life.
